Eating Disorders ANOREXIA and BULIMIA .. Could it just be a Physiological problem!!!

I found Anorexia and Bulimia, the two very interesting topics to discuss about. As these are very bad EATING DISORDERS. Many young girls who have experienced bullying because they are overweight often suffer from the above two disease's.

People with anorexia have extreme weight loss as a result of very strict dieting. Many individuals make themselves sick deliberately, tehy abuse laxatives or do excessive exercise to try and lose weight. In spite of this extreme weight loss, people with anorexia believe they are fat and are terrified of becoming what is in fact a normal weight or shape. Research shows that "About four out of ten people with fully established anorexia make a full recovery, and others improve. Only about three in ten continue to have major long-term illness. Untreated, about 15 per cent of all sufferers will die from the disorder within 20 years of its onset."

People with bulimia nervosa crave food and binge eat, though they are not emaciated. Afterwards they make themselves sick or misuse laxatives to get the food out of their bodies. Sufferers are very afraid of becoming fat.
I personally think this is very disgusting to do. To make yourself vomit and. However, i understand people do this for a reason, the main reason is because they think they are overweight. For example take a look at the above images. In those images we can see that the girl is looking in the mirror thinking "omg i am soo fat!". This is not neccesarily true because actually she is healthy but obviously she cannot see that because in her mind she physologically thinks its her whos very fat and needs to force herself to be loose weight excessively.

Loosing weight dramatically imposes a very big health threat and i do not think this is a good way of losing weight. Take Hannah Ashworth (played by Emma Rigby) for example she is a character in the Channel 4 teenage drama and soap opera HOLLYOAKS.
The revelation that her boyfriend, John Paul McQueen, is gay marks the most recent in a string of stressful events that have plagued the teenager since moving to Hollyoaks. Hannah’s confidence was at an all-time low, having convinced herself that it is her own repulsiveness that has ‘turned’ John Paul and that she is just not pretty enough. From research "Recent scenes have shown her obsessively checking herself in the mirror, pinching the skin around her stomach while grimacing in disgust at what she perceives to be a double chin. This is usually followed by a tearful binge eating session, which sometimes precedes self-induced vomiting."
Have a look at this website in which Hannah's story is outlined in more detail:

This is exactly what girls do to themselves because they think they are overweight they are not pretty enough. However, i hope watching hollyoaks opens the eyes of all them girls who make their bodies suffer! And i hope they seek help!!!
What do you think about this topic???????!
